Lucia Moholy
THE IMAGE OF MODERNITY
guided walk through an exhibition dedicated to the spectacular life and work of a great photographer.
About
The photographer and journalist Lucia Moholy (1894–1989) left a lasting mark on the image of the BAUHAUS school and her images are seen all around the world to this day. Despite her crucial role in bringing the school’s artistic ideas and substance to the public, her life and work were not widely known as other prominent figures from the famous school.
The exhibition is devoted to the entire oeuvre of this spectacular artist. Revolutionary in her approach, Lucia Moholy considered photography and painting to be of equal value; her architectural photographs emerge as constructivist images.
